In an ongoing effort to educate and inform the Nashville wedding community about the different types of bridal bouquets, we’ve decided to dedicate a series of posts to the many different styles of bridal bouquets.

And today’s post features the Biedermeier bridal bouquet.

Biedermeier is a German word for a cultural movement that took place in 19th century central Europe.

It’s often used today to reflect the various artistic styles that appeared in the fields of literature, music, the visual arts and interior design during this period.

The Biedermeier wedding bouquet is a round bouquet that features flowers of various colors and types designed in concentric rings, with one flower type or color in each layer.

The style became popular in Europe in the 1800’s, and it continues to be a traditional staple for formal weddings.

Le Fleuriste Shop designers create the tight circles characteristic of the Biedermeier style from the center outward, placing the flowers in a bouquet holder with a foam cage for structure.

Alternatively, our designers can create a hand-tied Bidermeier bouquet using beautiful long-stemmed flowers of your choice.

Le Fleuriste Shop would like to extend a sincere thank you to Joe Smith for inviting us to the 23rd Annual Nashville Lawn & Garden Show on Thursday, March 1 through Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds.

The Nashville Lawn & Garden Show is Tennessee’s largest and most popular gardening event that includes an acre of live gardens, a series of free lectures and workshops, a floral design gallery, and more than 250 exhibit booths featuring horticultural products and services, outdoor living décor, and plants and flowers.

This year’s show will highlight the vital role that plants play in maintaining and and creating a healthy and sustainable environment. This is an issue that’s near and dear to the hearts of Le Fleuriste Shop.

Our designs will be in the floral design gallery and we’ll be alongside some of the best floral designers in the state of Tennessee. We’re honored and excited about our participation in this event.

We ask all of our friends, clients and prospective clients to come and visit us at this very special event. Tickets are $10 for adults and you can receive a four day pass for only $15.
